Canvas to Return to the Mac in 2014
Dopo anni passati a dire agli utenti Mac di non rompere i coglioni che Canvas non sarebbe mai più stata un’applicazione per Mac, e posso sbagliare ma non ho mai conosciuto nessuno che lo usasse su WC, beh
On its mailing list, ACD Systems has announced that it is reviving the Mac version of Canvas, its technical drawing, pagination, and illustration app. ACD stopped making Canvas for the Mac in 2007. A beta of the resurrected program will be available in “spring 2014.”
“We have a lot to be excited about here. We know there are a lot of loyal Canvas Mac users out there, and we’re looking forward to being part of their workflow again,” said Dallas Vandekerkhove, Director of International Business Development at ACD Systems.
Sono moderatamente contento, a condizione che non sia la versione X del 2005 con la scatola cambiata.
E comunque lo interpreto come il primo segnale di reazione alla migrazione di Abobe tra le nuvole.

Restoring the first website
This project aims to preserve some of the digital assets that are associated with the birth of the web.
For a start we would like to restore the first URL – put back the files that were there at their earliest possible iterations. Then we will look at the first web servers at CERN and see what assets from them we can preserve and share. We will also sift through documentation and try to restore machine names and IP addresses to their original state. Beyond this we want to make http://info.cern.ch – the first web address – a destination that reflects the story of the beginnings of the web for the benefit of future generations.
Feel free to browse through the site. It is being used by the restoration team to document resources, ideas and leads.
